Benjamin Nast
Chef at De Calle (Santiago de Chile, Chile)

Nast proved he was able to reinvent himself and overcome adversity with projects that enable him to work on his greatest gastronomic dream.
Following a European trajectory that took him to Paris, Málaga and Barcelona, where he became head chef at Albert Raurich's Asian restaurant Dos Palillos, Benjamín Nast decided to return to his native Chile due to family issues, and finally opened his own project there, De Patio. An eatery that attracted attention and positive critics, and quickly won him a place among Latin America's 50 Best, but he was forced to close down due to social crisis and the pandemic. Despite this, De Patio is a project which is still ongoing and waiting to be retrieve with new ideas.
To do this, Nast succeeded in diversifying and toning up De Patio's little brother: DeCalle, an Asian street food outlet with hints of signature cuisine in Santiago de Chile. In 2021 he also opened Demencia, an eatery operating as a "restobar".
